This is one of my favorite songs of the show. I was heartbroken Jessie's version of the song didn't make it onto the cast album, but thank god we have Sara's version to listen to on repeat. All day. This song is magical and  beautiful. And also short but sweet. Just like this pie. 

This pie completely captures the essence of Lulu. The hopes, innocence, and love for Jenna she has. It tastes like sweet fresh cream with just enough hints of strawberry throughout.

This pie is Strawberry Cream at its core, but has a few tricks up its sleeves that set it apart. It's also so easy to put together and would be perfect to bake with kids. If Claire and McKenna ever came over to Jenna's Pie Palace to bake a pie, this is the one we'd bake for sure...

Blind bake a pie crust, and have some strawberries on hand...

...take some store bought meringue cookies (you could make your own, but that would add another 10 hours of prep time to this pie). I like Trader Joe's Vanilla Meringues. Good texture, flavor, and price.

Crunch them all up in a bag and disperse at the bottom of your blind baked pie crust...

...add sliced strawberries on top...

...and dollops of freshly whipped strawberry whipped cream.

Top it off with whole meringue cookies. To make it look like a dream. Lulu's.

Slice. (And don't bother trying to cut through the meringue cookie, every slice needs its own.)

Enjoy those layers! From bottom to top: blind baked pie shell, crushed meringue cookies, sliced fresh strawberries, strawberry whipped cream, topped with whole meringue cookie. Sugar... and butter... and flour... and mother... sugar, butter, flour.

This pie is inspired by one of Becky’s lines in Waitress the Musical. Jenna catches *spolier alert* Becky and Cal gettin’ it on in Cal’s kitchen, and while Jenna judges her and tells her how wrong it is, Becky tells her to bake a “BERRY THE BULLSHIT! Pie” because she suspects Jenna of having her own affair with her doc. This pie screams “Becky” to me and a crumble pie is one of my favorite types of pie. The crumble topping tastes like an oatmeal cookie atop a pie. So really… best of both worlds.

Start with gorgeous berries...

...and get another shot of them from the side with the freshly-picked-Strawberries-picked-by-you in the background. Because these berries are THAT gorgeous. And are about to be buried in BULLSHIT. I mean, er, crumble.

Mix everything together.

Get your crumble ingredients...

...and chop em up.

Then add them to your other crumble ingredients, and set it all aside.

Fill your pie shell with your beautiful berries...

...until your pie shell is this full.

Then you BERRY THE BULLSHIT! I mean, berry the burys. I mean, bury the berries? Now I'm confused.

Bake it to perfection. And then take a photo where 90% of the pie is out of focus.
